Spontaneous Roots Pomme: A piece of time from 2017, our authentic Western Pennsylvania spontaneously fermented ale, aged in french oak casks and refermented on local Gold Rush apples. It’s been horizontally bottle aged for two years and it’s mature.

Very delicate but effervescent, with champagne spritzy mineral aromas, crisp apple and a mild funk reminiscent of a Normandy cider. Flavors of lush red apple, cumquat and candied citrus fruit fade into a dry almost sauvignon blanc-esqe with a mildly tart sourness. The finish is pink grapefruit, apricots and layers of funk!
